Police Writing Ticket

What It Is

Traffic safety school, also known as defensive driving or driver improvement school, varies by state and sometimes by county. Most states regard traffic school as a basic driver-improvement course for motorists with traffic infractions or non-criminal moving violations. Traffic school is used to mask traffic ticket points as a result of a traffic ticket. The incentive is to have a clean driving record and avoid insurance premium increases that would result from the ticket.

Are You Eligible

The officer or county court where ticket was assigned will be able to tell you if traffic school is an option. Some courts require traffic school attendance with a specific school, and most courts require payment of an administrative fee prior to attending traffic school. Refer to your court paperwork if you have any questions concerning your eligibility.

Completing our simple and effective course will mask your traffic violation from your driving record along with the related points, keeping your insurance rates low. Added benefits to using our course include:

  • Fast electronic reporting to the DMV with daily correspondence with courts
  • Instant access to Proof of Completion, which you can print from home

If you’re not sure if our online traffic school is for you, if you can answer “Yes” to the following questions you’re eligible!

Does your violation carry 1 point or less?

Why It Matters

When you receive a ticket, you get points on your license that can cost you a lot of money. Your insurance company may increase or cancel your premiums, and you may even lose your license after accruing too many points. By completing our traffic-safety course, the points from the violation will be masked on your driving record.  No agency other than the court or DMV will be able to see the points--keeping your rates from going up.
